Welcome to my corner of the web. I’m Mike Angiletta and this blog is my little place to keep colleagues and clients up to date on interactive marketing trends, new events, articles, and any other interesting news of note. |

A little bit about me
I’m a marketing generalist with over 12 years of internet marketing experience (yes, I really have been involved with internet marketing since ’95!). I have direct experience with all facets of executive level marketing functions, from branding strategy to marketing execution. My special interests include leading entrepeneurial start-ups to maturity and guiding mature companies to a more entrepreneurial stage.
What are my claims to fame?
Two things come to mind. First, in 1996, I had the privilege of facilitating the creation of the very first website to offer blogging of a court case. Second, in 1999, I had the good fortune of pioneering the affiliate marketing space by creating the largest affiliate marketing program in the financial industry for NextCard Internet Visa – the affiliate channel accounted for almost a third of the company’s revenue!
What am I doing now?
I’m currently working on a “stealth” start-up. We recently closed a round of funding to help take our product through development all the way to release! I’m also a key advisor for a new social media company.
What did I do before?
Most recently I served as Vice President of Strategic Marketing for D&M Holdings. D&M Holdings is the owner of some really great premium home entertainment brands including Denon, Marantz, McIntosh Labs, and Boston Acoustics. In particular, I led the D&M brands into the “digital age”, so to speak, equipping the member brands with new websites, loyalty programs, internet marketing tools, rebranding initiatives, social media promotions, and much more.
Before D&M, in 2000, I started a software company focused on helping online advertisers. I was fortunate enough to sell this company in 2001. Before that, I was employee #10 and Director of Network Marketing for NextCard Internet Visa – a pioneer in the online marketing space. NextCard had a smashing IPO in 1999 but, alas, had a smashing crash a few years later. It all began for me in 1995, when I started a web company to help politicians and initiatives use the web as a viable campaign channel – clients ranged from Willie Brown to Oliver North! One of our sites was even Top #100 of the Year in PC World magazine. Ahhh, back in the day…
